TP answers your questions
octobre 22, 2009 | Interviews
As he promised, Tony took some time to answer your questions. Here are some.
Jerome Knoepffler : Hi Tony. What do you think of Haislip and Bogans? Will they be part of the rotation of the team ?
Haislip is a talented player but I don’t know if he’s gonna play a lot because the competition within the team is tough. With Duncan, Bonner, Blair, Ratliff and McDyess, it’s hard for him. Regarding Bogan, he will play for specific purposes like defense. But he’s a good shooter too.
Nagi Robert : Will you be in Fécamp, France for the TP9 summer camps in July 2010 ?
Yes, Nagi, TP9 camps will still take place in Fécamp. But this year, 3 one-week sessions will be open. TP9 summer camps website will be online next week so you can have all the information you need.
Rzat Lieando : Tony who is your best friend in Spurs? Tim Duncan, Manu ginobili, others ?
I like everyone in the team. There is a great atmosphere. It’s our strength. We all have the same goal : be champion.
Cesar Eduardo : Tony, which game or moment from Tim you will remember from him once he retires from the NBA ?
I was very impressed my first 2 years in San Antonio. Tim was incredible. He was way above all the other NBA players. When you passed the ball in the paint, he would score for sure. But what impresses me most is his consistency. He has always been present from the very moment he started his career.
Jordan Capitaine : Tony, how do you see yourself once you retire? Will you still be in the basketball business ?
I am interested in many things. But what’s sure is that I’ll still be in the basketball business. I already started investing in ASVEL. I am preparing my retirement.
Boris Carabedian : Tony, which arena gives you the most intense feeling, regarding the atmosphere ?
When we play in Dallas or in Phoenix, the atmosphere is always very hot. In Dallas because it is the Texan derby and in Phoenix because there’s a real hostility between the 2 teams. The Suns hate us. A few years ago, it was also tense in Sacramento and in Utah. In Detroit too. It was super tense in the 2005 finals….
Jerry Johnson : David Robinson and Tim Duncan spent their whole careers in SA. Do you plan on doing the same or do you see yourself possibly moving to another team in a few years ?
Today, I wish I could stay in San Antonio my whole career. I like the team and the city. We’ll see what happens in two years from now with Tim and Gregg Popovich.
Julien Cluzel : Which shoes did you choose for the season ?
I decided to go back to basics. I am starting the season with my 2007 NBA Finals shoes, the ones I wore when I became MVP.
Li Hanlu : Tony… is Spurs having any chance to go to China sometime altogether ?
We already played twice in France and once in the Virgin Islands. So it would be a great pleasure to go to China. I’d be glad to.
Héloïse Menez : Tony, do you think the Spurs might come back to Bercy ?
As we already played twice in France, I don’t know but it seems complicated.
Jean-Felix Gagnon : Why did you pick ¹ 9 ?
When I started practicing a sport at 7 yrs old, I was playing soccer as center-forward. I wore ¹ 9. Then, during 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, I noticed it was Michael Jordan’s number. So I decided to play my whole career with this number. It’s my favorite number.
Sébastien Carneaux : Tony, when do you think you’ll retire from NBA and will you come back to France ?
I am 27. So I think I’ll play another 10 years in the NBA. Then, I can consider playing in a French team one year before I retire, why not?
David Nahon : PSG (Paris soccer team) or OM (Marseille soccer team) ?
PSG ! But I have a lot of respect for OM and its history. I still remember Basile Boli’s goal during the Champions League final…
Judy Kabo : Tony, what’s your favorite place to eat at after a game?
Bistro Vatel and 29.
Lisa Martinez : TP, what is your daily diet and exercise routine?
Every gameday I go to the gym at 10.00 am for a shooting practice. Then I go home, eat chicken and pasta and take a nap. Then I’m ready for the game.

.WILL YOU PLS COME HERE WHEN YOU HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY.THANKS AND GO SPURS GO!!!:D:D:D
Hi Tony , I’m your bigest fans and this is you impress me.
Tony Parker is famous not only because he has excellent basketball skills but also because he is a man with good mettle. Being 188cm tall, Tony Parker is really a well built young man. He won the name » the电光火石” by his speed and strong muscles. Born in 1982,he is now in the peak of his career. He has charming eyes which is so big. The short hair adds to his handsomeness. In fact,Tony Parker is not the actually handsome type, yet he has mettle . Girls are always attracted by his appearance except Eva. People also appreciate his modest and calm behavior before the public. Being extremely energetic in competitions, it is quite astonishing that he marries Eva.Eva always shows her passion and love to Parker.

Hi Tony, do you think that Timmy D is the best power forward ever?
Hi, Tony
I’m worried about Spurs for you had lost many games which are sure to win. I know you and other players wil play better. Because all the Spurs’s players have the same dream-the champion ship. So I want to know which team is the hardest for spurs to play with? Besides, everyday I’m voting the All Star Player for you.
From a Chinese girl.
Dear Mr./ Mrs. Parker:
I am a 45yr old grandmother that has adopted my grandchildren because of child abuse. If I had it all to do over, I would not change a thing. Anyway they were abused very bad by my daughter and her boyfriends, I have the three of them, Carmen, Cedric, Isaiah, they are 7.8 and 5yrs. old. I have been fighting the system and my daughter for 5 yrs. and I was finally allowed to adopt them. My question to you is that they all have ADHD> so I am at their school at least 3 times a week, I am not able to work in order to care for my wonderful grandbabies, and I will keep caring for them until they day they no longer need me, is there a way that I could maybe do something special for someone else, or help clean something or work somewhere in meantime to be able to get my grandbabies some tickets to your games. I can not afford them, but at least one game. They adore you and watch you all the time on tv. Thank you for your time and God bless you and your family. Love always , Patty MOreno and kids.
Tony,
I am the Steadicam Operator that shot an SBC video tour of your house several years ago – the next day we toured Devin Brown’s house with Mr. T Duncan. Recently I have had plantar fasciitis and being a big Spurs fan, I thought perhaps my story could help you.
My heel hurt just standing or walking slowly, but since I have to wear 60-65 lbs of weight when I work, the pain in my heel was at it’s worst when I needed to be my best. I tried doing nothing for 2 weeks – ice, heat, wearing a brace at night so I don’t point my toes. None of that seemed to help me. What did help was going to a New Balance store, standing on their video machine that shows your footprint, getting some very stiff 855’s and dropping in Pinnacle PowerStep insoles that are stiff, plastic, high-arch supports. The pain is mostly gone because I am now putting most of my weight on my insteps and toes and not my heel. I wear these shoes everywhere and am walking normally without pain.
I’m sure the Spurs trainers are doing everything they can, but if you have high arches, you probably need to change your shoes to let your heel heal.
Hi, tony
Spurs is lost in Houston today .I was so sad that you cannot play to help Spurs. You know, Spurs needs to win more games to let everybody know it is still a team which is hardly to beat. We believe, still bilieve Spurs will win the champion ship in this season. You didn’t do your best in the past games for you had got injury in some games.I heard Michael Jordon has said » I can accept failure but I cannot accept not trying ». So Go TP Go ! Go Spurs Go! Spurs needs you!

Hey Tony -
http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2010/feb/22/eva-longoria-parker-says-award-heady-accomplishmen/
I noticed that recently Eva was presented with an award in Vegas and it was designated « Eva Longoria Parker Day » – Why were you not there ?
The Spurs were not playing that day ?
Hi Tony,
I heared the news that you have to miss 6 weeks with broken bone in hand. The bad news saddened me. Everyone knows Spurs need you to come back quickly. So my question is will you come back earlier ? The best wishes for you.
